Margaret E. Hecker

Mrs. Margaret E. Hecker, wife of Raymond S. Hecker, of Meadville, died at the United Methodist Nursing Hospital Sunday, June 2, 1974.  Mrs. Hecker, who had been in failing health, had been hospitalized for 10 days.

She was born in upstate New York, a daughter of George A. and Genevieve Lowe Lester.  She married Mr. Hecker on August 12, 1914.  Mrs. Hecker was a businesswoman for 25 years with her husband in the Hecker Electric Contracting Business on North Street, joining  him in 1928 as office manager.  Both retired in 1953.  Mrs. Hecker was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond T. (Helen) Fitzpatrick of Bard, CA; a granddaughter, Mrs. James (Sandra) Ploski of Meadville; and two great-grandsons, Steven and Richard Ploski.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Saegertown Cemetery.
