Margaret E. Mccormick

Margaret E. (Peg) McCormick, 91, a resident of The Ridgewood at St. Pauls in Greenville, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at her residence. She was born June 2, 1925 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Howard and Agnes Lacey Wulf. Peg was a graduate of Swissvale High School. A homemaker, prior to marriage she worked for Singer, Dean and Scribbner in Pittsburgh on the New York Stock Exchange. On May 30, 1947, she married William (Jim) McCormick, had it not been for his untimely death in 1988 they would have celebrated 70 years of marriage in May. Peg loved exercise, walking, working crossword puzzles and wintering in Tamarack, FL from 1983 until her husbands death in 1988. She served on The Ridgewood Resident Council and especially enjoyed the time she spent there, the relationships she formed and the care and compassion of her special angels. Survivors include three children, Margaret Goodrich of Harrisburg, a son, Howard McCormick and his wife Ann of Butler, and Lynn Chuey and her husband Jim of Conneaut Lake; four grandchildren, Laura, Lacey, Michele, and James Patrick; a brother, James Wulf of Swissvale; and a sister, Gertrude Dix of Sumter, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Wulf and two sisters, Jean Simon and Agnes Ashburner. Private committal and interment services will be in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, N. Lauderdale, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Pauls, 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, PA 16125 or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
