Margaret (Peg) Halligan

Mrs. Margaret (Peg) Halligan, 97, a resident of Crawford County Home for four years, widow of John S. Halligan who died in 1937, died Monday, March 20, 1978, at City Hospital where she had been a patient for five days.  She had been in failing health.

She was born in Meadville January 28, 1881, a daughter of John and Margaret Schissler Wagner.  A supervisor for Spirella Corset Co., she worked in both Meadville and Niagara Falls.  She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

Survivors include a brother, Earl V. Wagner of Bradenton, FL and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
