Margaret K. Ridgway

Margaret K. Ridgway, 95, of Meadville, died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Hydetown February 20, 1912, a daughter of the late Earl E. and Margaret Bolduc Kitlinger.  She married Lloyd E. Ridgway September 19, 1929 and he preceded her in death July 17, 1993.

She worked at Talon as an inspector, retiring in 1977 following 40 years of service.  Additionally, she and her husband were former custodians at Stone United Methodist Church, Meadville for 20 years where she formerly attended church.

Survivors include a stepson, Howard Ridgway of Saegertown; a stepdaughter, Ruth Monroe of Lemon Grove, CA; a step-grandson, Joe Monroe of Lemon Grove, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Ray, Howard, Ralph, and Emmit Kitlinger and 7 sisters, Rosie Schrecengost, Lillian Ridgway, Catherine Mooney, Josephine Devore, Ella Eastman, Mary Grove and Leora White.

Calling hour will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville where a funeral and committal service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Gerald Murphy, retired United Methodist clergyman officiating.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Titusville.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
