Margaret L. Saavedra

Margaret L. Saavedra, 60, of Meadville, died Saturday, November 22, 1997 at Meadville Medical Center following a period of declining health.

She was born August 22, 1937 in Germantown, a daughter of the late Herman and Louise Gotwals Sylvestoer.  She married Diogenes Saavedra in 1958.  He survives.

Mrs. Saavedra was a graduate of Abington High School, Abington, PA.  She graduated from Abington Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse.  She was a homemaker and especially enjoyed being with her family.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, Enrique Saavedra of Coconut Creek, FL, Peter Saavedra of Pittsburgh and Christopher Saavedra of Harrisburg and two granddaughters, Tiffany and Daphne Saavedra.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Sylvester, Jr.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn.
