Margaret Mary “Peg” Linton, 85, formerly of Conneaut Lake and a resident of the The Sanctuary of Geneva, Geneva, OH, died there Sunday, May 13, 2007.
She was born in Cleveland, OH September 25, 1921, a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Clucas Yea. She married Lee Hugh Linton November 10, 1945 and he preceded her in death August 29, 1988.
She worked and lived in Cleveland, Willoughby, Wickliffe, and Mentor, OH before retiring to Conneaut Lake in 1983. She was a member of the Conneaut Lake Midway Civic Club and she and her husband managed Midway Beach for 4 years.
She tutored for the Crawford County READ Program, was a member of the Meadville Medical Center Auxiliary and Conneaut Lake Historical Society, and volunteered at Meadville Medical Center for 19 years.
Survivors include 3 children, Nancy Cooper of Madison, OH; Mark Linton of Broadview Heights, OH; and Laurel Linton of Anthem, AZ; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great-granddaughter.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake with the Rev. Dave R. Brumagin, Associate Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake and Chaplain of Meadville Medical Center, officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
