Margaret R. Blanchard

Margaret R. Blanchard, 79, of Meadville, died Friday, May 1, 1992, at home after a period of failing health.

She was born in Troy, PA, April 18, 1913, a daughter of Lee W. and Esther Orvis Reynolds.  She married Francis L. (Frank) Blanchard on June 7, 1947, he survives.

Margaret was an office secretary for many years in several communities in which she lived.  She was a graduate of Elmira Business College and attended Mansfield State Teachers College.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Philo-Mathesians and had been a member of the former City Hospital Ladies Advisory Committee.  Margaret did dramatic speaking presentations for many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Mark R. Blanchard of Vallejo, CA; a brother, Robert L. Reynolds of Tamarac, FL; and one granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by a brother, George W. Reynolds.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Farmington Hill Cemetery.
