Mrs. Margaret Sherwood Dinkey, of Meadville, died Sunday morning at City Hospital after an extended illness. She had resided in Meadville but had been a frequent Erie visitor.
Born in Conneautville, she spent her early years in Linesville and was graduated from Linesville High School. After moving to Meadville, she attended Allegheny College and was employed in the office of the county treasurer during the tenure of her father, L. Halsey Sherwood, as county treasurer. She later was credit manager for the Keystone View Co.
She was married to Charles Dinkey of Erie, who died about six months after their marriage. She has since resided in Erie, returning to Meadville frequently.
A member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Golden Crown Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, she was elected to the presidency of the Business and Professional Womens Club just before she moved to Erie.
There are no immediate survivors.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Linesville Cemetery.
