Margaret Stanford

Margaret Stanford, 81, of Meadville, died Sunday, May 21, 1995, at Springs Manor Care Center after a period of declining health.  She had been a resident there since December 1991.

She was born June 17, 1913, Meadville, a daughter of Peter and Emma Wagner Smith.  She married Gerald W. (Pat) Stanford June 17, 1930.  He preceded her in death November 8, 1985.

She worked for several years as a production worker at Talon.  She was a member of the Vernon Central VFD and she was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Betty Ann) Gleason of Meadville; two sisters, Virginia Hoenon and Isabelle Terrill, both of Meadville; a brother, Roy Smith of Conneaut, OH; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura DeLorenzo and Florence Badger.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
