Mariam C. Horne

Mariam C. Horne, 86, of Atlantic, died Wednesday, October 4, 2000 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born August 12, 1914 in Geneva, a daughter of the late Clarence L. and Minah Brown Coutler.  She married Lyle M. Horne October 8, 1932 and he preceded her in death August 5, 1997.

She attended high school in Elizabeth and Conneaut Lake.

She attended Fallowfield United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three sons, L. Wade Horne (Carole), Gary L. Horne (Mimi) and Arlan D. Horne (Sandra), all of Atlantic; two sisters, Ruth McCartney (Lawrence) of Meadville and Loris Bingham of Tucson, AZ; one brother, Frederick Coutler (Lucille) of Hudson, FL; seven grandchildren, Daryl Horne, Roderick Horne, Alan Horne, Kimberly Mead, Shannon Horne, Meagan Horne and Justin Horne; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Lawrence, Frank, Charles and Paul Coutler and two sisters, Cecile Porter and Dorothy Sheckler.

Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.

Interment was in Rocky Glen Cemetery.
