Marian A. Phelps

Marian A. Phelps, 78, of Conneaut Lake, died Monday, July 30, 1990, at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Meadville, February 26, 1912, a daughter of Walter and Ada Mahle Armour.  She married Robert J. Hoffman.  He preceded her in death in 1938.  She subsequently married George T. Phelps.  He preceded her in death in 1983.

She had retired from her position as office manager of the former Keystone Construction Co. She had previously worked as a secretary-bookkeeper at Talon for several years.

She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Meadville High School and Meadville Commercial College.

Survivors, include three nephews, Gary A. Whitehead of Guys Mills, Dale W. Whitehead of Conneaut Lake and John R. (Jack) Whitehead of Dayton, OH; and three step-children, Donald E. Phelps of Charleston, SC, Marjorie Christy of Youngstown, OH and Susan Ann Michael of New Castle.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
