Marian E. Mushrush

April 26, 1920 — October 21, 2012

Marian E. Mushrush, of Meadville and formerly of Geneva, died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Meadville Medical Center.

She was born at her grandparent’s home in Geneva April 26, 1920 a daughter of Elt and Florence Robishaw Mushrush.

She graduated in 1938 from East Fallowfield High School and then worked for five years for the American Viscose Corp. in Meadville, before attending Erie Business College.  She then worked for the former 1st National Bank and its successors, now Marquette Savings Bank in Conneaut Lake for 37 years, retiring in the mid-1980s.  In her retirement she worked at Conneaut Lake Park.

She attended Faith Geneva United Methodist Church, was a member of the Greenwood Twp. Fireman’s Auxiliary, the former Conneaut Lake Rebekahs, a former member of the Atlantic Friends and Flowers Club and the Conneaut Lake Salvation Army Committee.  She was the Treasurer of Geneva Cemetery Association for many years and was an aunt to everybody in Greenwood Twp.

She is survived by: two sisters, Mary Jo Davis and her husband Al of Meadville and Luann Armour of Meadville; a brother, Jeff Mushrush and his wife Joyce of Hartstown; six nieces, Cindy Lorenzo and her husband Rich of Bellefonte, PA; Laura Werner and her husband Hans of Pasadena, FL, Mary Hellen Adsit and her husband Lyle of Conneaut Lake, Marti Kiskadden and her husband Jim of Hartstown, Nancy Chapin and her husband Fred of Geneva and Mary Leigh Kaiser and her husband Peter of Annapolis, MD; four nephews, Jim Mushrush and his wife Doris of Conneaut Lake, Joe Mushrush and his wife Debbie of Conneaut Lake, Karl Dennis and his wife Sue of Conneaut Lake and Jim Armour and his wife Tina of Meadville; four great nieces, nine great nephews and twelve great great nieces and great great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Mushrush and his wife Virginia; two nephews, Tom Mushrush and John Mushrush and two nieces, Judy Tingle and Rachel O’Shurak.

Calling hours will be Saturday, October 27th from 12-3 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.  The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Christine Rogan, Pastor of Faith Geneva United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Geneva Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to Faith Geneva United Methodist Church, 15439 State Hwy 285, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316.
