Marian I. Armburger, 86, formerly of Homecroft Rd., Meadville and a current resident of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, died there Friday, November 5, 2010.
She was born June 2, 1924 in Wayne Township, Crawford County, a daughter of Clyde and Helena Robb Armburger.
Marian was a 1941 graduate of Randolph High School. She was employed in the office of Allegheny Mutual Casualty, Meadville and subsequently at Coca Cola Bottling Company, Meadville. She enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Survivors include three sisters, Gladys Welsh of Saegertown, Irma L. Armburger of Meadville, and L. Jean Schlosser of Cochranton; a brother, Lyle Armburger of Corry and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Hunt and Elnora Fausnaught; three brothers, Lawrence, Donald, and Willard Armburger; and an uncle and aunt, Howard and Annie Dupont.
Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville where the funeral and committal service will follow at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Ellen Rezek, Wesbury Chaplain officiating.
Interment will be in Black Ash Cemetery.
