Marian L. Smallenberger

Mrs. Marian L. Smallenberger, 71, of Meadville, wife of Arthur J. Smallenberger, died at City Hospital Sunday, April 11, 1982, following a six-month illness.

She was born at Meadville April 9, 1911, a daughter of Dayton and Leanna Booth Lawrence.  She married Smallenberger April 24, 1937.

In her early life, Mrs. Smallenberger was secretary to the manager of Meadville Telephone Co. Later, she and her husband operated Brite Spot Dairy Store, Kerrtown.

A member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, she graduated from Meadville High School in 1928 and from Meadville Commercial College.  She was a member of Watson's Run Women's Club and a life member of Golden Crown Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Leanna) Parsons of Saegertown; a son, Larry Smallenberger of Meadville and three grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
