Marie E. Kress

Marie E. Kress, 82, of Meadville, died Wednesday, July 1, 1987, at North Park Manor where she had been a patient for the last three years.

She was born on May 24, 1905, at St. Benedict in Cameron County, a daughter of Edward Heist and Anna M. Lawrence.  She married Butch Kress.

She was employed at Kindler's Boutique until her retirement in 1980.  She was previously employed at the Crawford Store and at the American Viscose.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.

Survivors include five sisters, Alice Cunningham and Vivian Earnest of Meadville, Priscilla (Pat) Amboyer of Titusville, Anna Jo Hall of Hemet, CA and Marion Mance of Ft. Meyers, FL; and three brothers, Clark Heist of Brandenton, FL, Charles Lawrence of Gastonia, NC and Joseph Lawrence of Meadville.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
