Marion G. Rumsey

July 26, 1869 — January 1, 1753

Mrs. Marion G. Rumsey, 70, of Meadville, died Thursday evening at Meadville City Hospital following a short illness.

Widow of Dr. C. E. Rumsey of Elmira, NY, where she lived for several years, Mrs. Rumsey was a native of Meadville and had a wide circle of friends.

She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and the three church guilds, the ladies' advisory committee of Meadville City Hospital, the Rainbow Aux. of Delta Tau Delta of which she was a former president, the ladies aux. of Knights Templar and the Study Club.

Mrs. Rumsey had been very active on the Order of the Eastern Star.  She was a past matron of the order, a member of the Past Matrons Club of Meadville and the White Shrine of Elmira, NY.

Surviving are a son, Dr. John L. Rumsey of Hadley, PA; her step-father, L. F. Williamson of Meadville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Theodore Owens of Watkins Glen, NY; and two grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
