Marion M. Giebner, 98 of Grove Manor, was welcomed into her Lord and Savior’s arms on March 30, 2023.
Mrs. Giebner was born in Carbon County on October 27, 1924, a daughter of the late Seth and Mildred Jones. Marion graduated from Sandy Lake Vocational and Technical School and devoted her life to homemaking. She married the love of her life, Harvey Reed Giebner, on October 7th, 1943.
A family-oriented woman, Marion is recalled for her cooking and baking, which included selling wedding cakes. She enjoyed gardening, flowering, canning, cleaning, and spending time with her family above all. She was all for the Lord and will be fondly remembered by those who loved her as an incredibly spiritual person. In early years, Marion enjoyed teaching Sunday school, vacation bible school, and serving as the President of the adult missionary club at her former church. Marion had an undying devotion to her family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors left to cherish the memory of Marion are her children, Nancy (Don) Scholler of Missouri; and Jerry (Arlene) Giebner of Grove City; grandchildren, Tara (Mike) Kochemba of Tennessee; and Jerry Randall (Amanda) Giebner of Grove City; great-grandchildren, Raya Kochemba, Elijah Kochemba, and Parker Giebner, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Preceding Marion in death are her beloved husband of more than 50 years, Harvey Reed Giebner; and her granddaughter, Cassandra Smith.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose & Black Funeral Home & Crematory, SANDY LAKE, where visitation will be held from 12 - 2 PM on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. A funeral service will follow directly after visitation, Reverend Dr. Mark H. Yarger, Chaplain of Grove Manor, officiating.
Interment will follow officiation at New Lebanon Cemetery.
