Marjorie E. Bideaux, 92, of Lake Junaluska, NC, formerly of Meadville, died Friday, January 30, 1998, at Haywood Community Hospital, Lake Junaluska.
She was born in Cambridge Springs, March 29, 1905, a daughter of the late Dallas and Della (Porter) Whitely. She married Charles O. Bideaux, July 10, 1929, and he preceded her in death, July 5, 1967.
She was a graduate of Cambridge Springs public schools and a 1925 graduate of Edinboro State Normal School. She was a homemaker and had worked at Meadville Coopperative Preschool for 10 years. She was a member of Crabtree United Methodist Church, Lake Junaluska, and when living in Meadville had been a member of Stone United Methodist Church and it's United Methodist Women. She was also a long time volunteer for the American Cancer Society, the Meadville Medical Center Auxiliary and the Crawford County Senior Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Alicia Weiland of York, PA; a son, Rev. Rene O. Bideaux of Lake Junaluska; a sister, Gloria Anderson of Cambridge Springs; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Service were held at Stone United Methodist Church.
Interment of cremated remains was in Cambridge Cemetery.
