Marjorie E. Smith

Marjorie E. Smith, 84, of Meadville, formerly of Cleveland, OH, died Saturday, August 26, 1995 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

She was born in East Mead Township, Crawford Co., December 3, 1910, a daughter of Oscar D. and Hattie Britton Smith.

She was a graduate of Meadville High School, Meadville Commercial College and the NW Bible and Missionary Training School of Minneapolis, MN.  She was certified by Evangelical Teacher Training and the Christian Education Assn.  She was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Garfield Heights, OH and was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church of Meadville.

In Meadville, she had worked in a Real Estate office and the Allegheny College library.  She taught Bible classes for children in the public schools of Kentucky and the former Baptist Bible Seminary of Cleveland, OH for over fifty years.  She last had managed a Christian bookstore in Cleveland.

Survivors, include two sisters, Marian E. Smith of Meadville, Mrs. Mildred Bowen of Redmond, WA, one nephew and one niece.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
