Marjorie S. Neff

April 13, 1910 — February 15, 1997

Marjorie S. Neff, 86, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died there Saturday, February 15, 1997 following an extended illness.

She was born in Richmond Township, Crawford County on April 13, 1910, a daughter of the late Fred L. and Inez (Lord) Salen.  She married C. LeRoy Neff March 18, 1942 and he preceded her in death March 26, 1994.

She was a graduate of Edinboro High School and Meadville Commercial College.  She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for William Blain Dodge and the Yost & Lang Dodge Dealers in Meadville for 15 years.  She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women, the Marriott Sunday School class and she was a former church financial secretary.  She was a former member of Golden Crown Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Meadville Women's Club and Woodcock Township Ladies Group.  She was also a member of the first class of volunteer nurses aids trained for work at local hospitals during World War II.  In her free time she enjoyed gardening, flowers and reading.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Albert J. (Isabelle) Knuth of Cambridge Springs and several cousins.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
