Marjorie Sanford

Marjorie Sanford, 95, formerly of Corry and Franklin, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, Meadville, since January 1985, died there Thursday, March 16, 1995, following a lengthy illness.

She was born April 19, 1899 in Carlton, PA to the late James C. and Caroline I. Roberts Nelson.  She married Roy J. Sanford on October 2, 1933.  He preceded her in death on April 8, 1974.

She was a 1917 graduate of Franklin High School and had worked for the New York Central Railroad for 14 years.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Corry and its Ruth Circle of United Methodist Women.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Eleanora Blair, Pearl Ashley, Leah Reed and Gertrude Brower and four brothers, Raymond, Roy, Joseph and Glenn Nelson.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
