Mark E. Kightlinger, 75, of Meadville passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with a spinal cord injury.
He was born in Meadville September 20, 1946 a son of Paul D. and Marion J. Roae Kightlinger. He married Sheri Knapp June 27, 1992 and she survives.
Mark attended St. Agatha School and worked for Meadville Forging for 39 years. He was an avid Browns fan and travelled to NASCAR races for many years. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, pull tab games and driving his golf cart with his wife and furry friend, Chewy. But most of all, he enjoyed time with his family, especially his 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren who brought him much joy.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Sheri of 29 years and his grandchildren and great grandchildren, include: a son, Marc Kightlinger of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Allison McGee (John) of Cambridge Springs; four step-daughters, Lisa Chanler (companion, Courtland) of Delaware, Theresa Gable (wife, Bo) of Meadville, Gin Faunce of Delaware and Missy Caster (companion, June) of Erie; two brothers, Ben Kightlinger (Sandy) of Meadville and Tom Kightlinger of Conneaut Lake; a sister, Debbie Waid of Cambridge Springs and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Cozadd and two brothers, Dan and Paul Kightlinger.
A celebration of Mark’s life is planned for a later date.
