Mark Eugene Grover, 57, of 71 Woodcliff Drive, Whitehall, OH died Sunday, April 13, 2008.
He was born in Columbus, OH August 17, 1950 a son of Glendon and Arwilla Wilson Grover. He married Sharon Stepchuck February 23, 1974. They subsequently divorced but remained close friends.
He was a 1969 graduate of Franklin High School, Franklin, OH. Following graduation he entered the Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Following his tour of service he came to Meadville and worked for United Cerebral Palsy. For the past 40 years, he was a very good game operator. He traveled with his trailer and was well known on the Ohio Fair Circuit. Many friends remember him for his signature line “Hey partner, can I show you this.” He was devoted to Sharon’s nieces and nephews and he always enjoyed a good bingo game.
Survivors, in addition to his former wife Sharon Christner of Meadville, include: his two former brothers-in-law, Darryl Stepchuck of Cochranton and Richard Stepchuck of Linesville; three nieces, Lori Greathouse and her husband Ken of Cambridge Springs, Sandra Stepchuck of Saegertown and Jody Burbach and her husband Steve of West Farmington, OH and three nephews, Jon Robert Stepchuck and his wife Emme of Akron, OH, Randall and Keith Stepchuck both of Linesville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Lee who died in August 2006.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
