Marlene A. Grossman-Reedy, 59, of Conneaut Lake and formerly of Meadville, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at her residence following an unexpected illness.
She was born in Meadville July 7, 1955, a daughter of Robert H. and Rosemarie A. Piccirillo Grossman. She married Glenn M. Reedy October 3, 1997 and he survives.
She was a 1973 graduate of Meadville High School and worked as a Compliance Manager for United Community Independence Programs for over 25 years. She was a loving and caring person and had a very soft heart for her family. She enjoyed trips to the casinos, playing bingo and collecting coins and loved her dog Scooch.
Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Glenn of 17 years, include her father, Robert H. Grossman of Meadville; two brothers, Bob Grossman and his wife Brenda of Conneaut Lake and Daniel J. Grossman and his wife Theresa of Meadville; her mother-in-law, Linda Reedy of Meadville; a brother-in-law, Joel Reedy and his wife Lori of California; two sisters-in-law, Connie Reedy of Meadville and Trena Reedy of Florida; two step-sons; and two step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Johnathan P. Schmolt, Pastor of St. Brigid Church, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Brigid Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute (for the Benevolent Fund), 16792 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville, PA 16335.
