Marlene M. Robertson

Marlene M. Robertson, 64, of 961 Washington St., Meadville, died Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie following an unexpected illness.

She was born in Saegertown May 26, 1943, a daughter of Frank G. and Alma Shorts Mason.

Marlene was a 1961 graduate of Saegertown High School and a graduate of Jamestown Business College, Jamestown, NY.  She was employed by Crawford County for 30 years, including the last 14 years as chief clerk and was also head of elections.

She was secretary to the Crawford County Redevelopment Authority; active member of the Crawford County Republican Party; former board member of the Meadville Area Federal Credit Union; former member of the Air Force Mother’s Association; and former volunteer with the March of Dimes.  She enjoyed cross stitching, making crafts, and especially loved and was proud of her family.

Survivors include a son, William E. Robertson, Jr. and his wife Denise of Akron, OH; a daughter, Renee Kiser and her husband Joshua of Meadville; her mother, Alma Mason of Meadville; a sister, Rita Walp of Meadville; a brother, Clifford (Buzzy) Mason of Saegertown; 4 grandchildren, Whitney, Alayna, and Aidan Robertson and Gregory Kiser; and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father and a sister-in-law, Ginger Mason.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.  The funeral service will be Monday at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Travis Webster, Associate Pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Interment will be in Venango Cemetery.
