Martha C. Luce

Mrs. Martha C. Luce, 92, of Meadville, the widow of Raymond C. Luce, died Wednesday, March 4, 1987, at Springs Manor, Cambridge Springs following a period of failing health.

She was born in Corsica, Jefferson County, August 7, 1894, a daughter of Calvin C. and Margaret Peterman Crawford.  She married Mr. Luce on August 23, 1922.  He preceded her in death January 24, 1953.

Mrs. Luce was a member of First Presbyterian Church.  She also worked as a volunteer with the Red Cross.

Survivors include two sons, Carl C. Luce of Euclid, OH and Logan R. Luce of Meadville; a brother, John A. Crawford of Cochranton; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers, one son and one grandson.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
