Martha J. King

October 11, 1924 — December 8, 2004

Martha J. King, 80, of Conneaut Lake, died December 8, 2004 at UPMC Horizon Hospital, Greenville, PA.  She was born in Grove City, PA, October 11, 1924 the daughter of Harry and Elsie Truan McCarl.  She married Kenneth W. King, February 1, 1947 in Mercer, PA.

She graduated from Grove City High School in 1942.

She played golf with great enthusiasm and belonged to Oakland Beach Golf Club.  She played in the Tuesday Morning Ladies League and the Friday Couples league.  She also enjoyed bowling at Center Bowl, Meadville.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and cherished time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Kenneth W. King of Conneaut Lake, she is survived by a daughter, Cathy Adsit (Charlton) of Greenville; a son, Kim C. King (Darla) of Meadville; three grandson's, Gerrit and  Christopher Adsit of Greenville and Joel King of Meadville; a great-granddaughter, Krysta Adsit of Greenville; two sisters, Jean Matheny of New Brighton and Betty Donaghy of Rochester; a brother, Robert McCarl (Yolanda) of Boyers, PA and numerous nieces and nephews and in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mildred Hogue, her sister, Louise Schultz and three brothers, Clifford, James and David McCarl.

Services were held at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home.
