Martha L. Boyer

Martha L. Boyer, 75, of Saegertown, formerly of Erie, died May 16, 1985 at the home of her daughter, Judith Jones.

She was born in Sinnemahoning, PA on July 19, 1909, a daughter of George E. Darrin and Bessie M. Krebs.  She married F. Omer Boyer on December 14, 1935.  He preceded her in death on May 24, 1980.

Martha was the former owner of Airway Drive-In Theater.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.  She was also involved with the Erie Senior Citizen Center.

In addition to her daughter, Judith, she is survived by a sister, Margaret Irwin of Erie; five brothers, John Darrin of Sinnemahoning, Chester Darrin of Renovo, PA, Walter Darrin of Renovo, William Darrin of Renovo, and Milton Darrin of Lewisville, TX; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Lillian Darrin and an infant brother, George Darrin.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
