Martha Lucinda Nearpass

Mrs. Martha Lucinda Nearpass, 87, a former resident of Meadville and Conneautville, widow of Harold S. Nearpass, died Saturday, April 14, 1979, at the Mead Nursing Home, where she resided for the past 15 months.  She lived at the Presbyterian Home in Cambridge Springs for eight years before she entered the home.

Mrs. Nearpass was born in Syracuse September 29, 1891, a daughter of Fred E. and Mahala Savage Webb.  She married Nearpass May 12, 1918, and he died in 1969.

In her early years, she was employed as an office clerk at the Watertown, NY and for New York Air Brake, also in Watertown.

She was a member of Conneautville Baptist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Charles N. Stafford Post 111 Aux.

She is survived by a son, Harold Stuart Nearpass of Tonawanda, NY; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, a twin sister and a brother.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
