Mary Ann Smith

Mary Ann Smith, 80, of Guys Mills, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born February 1, 1934 in Smethport, a daughter of William and Mable Harriet Perry Duncan.  She married Carl W. Smith July 2, 1960 and he survives.

Mary Ann was a 1952 graduate of Titusville High School.  A homemaker, she enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and had a quick wit and unique sense of humor.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Carl of 53 years, include two daughters, Debbie Smith of Meadville and Kelly Welker and her husband Joe of Meadville; a son, William Smith of Meadville; seven grandchildren, Travis DeMarches, Brittney Beck, Andrea Galbo, Lindsey Galbo, Corey Smith, Stephen Smith, and Kasey Smith; two great-grandchildren, Megyn DeMarches and Dawson Smith; a sister, Betty Fortney of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Craig Smith; a sister, Jean Barrett; and a brother, Bob Duncan.

Services will be held at a later date.
