Mary Vivian (Phillips) Bauer

Mary Vivian Bauer, "Viv", 92 of Conneaut Lake, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022.

She was born April 12, 1930 in Meadville, a daughter of the late Mack and Mary Nelson Phillips. She married Lauren C. Bauer, "Bud" on September 20, 1948 in Reno, Nevada and he preceded her in death October 13, 1996.

Vivian was a graduate of Jamestown Area High School.  She worked at Talon Zipper Factory and the Meadville Super Duper grocery store.  She also volunteered for many years at the Meadville City Hospital's coffee shop.

Vivian was a long time member of the Erie Chapter of the Sweet Adelines.  She was very involved with this organization for many years and even realized her dream of becoming Sweet Adeline of the year.

Vivian was also a member of Lighthouse Community Church, where she sang in the choir and was very active in their social events.

Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey A. Bauer (Linda) of Conneaut Lake and Steven C. Bauer of Jacksonville, FL; and a daughter and son-in-law, Shelly Bauer and Alan Bethscheider, both of Denver, CO; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
