Mary Beth Geibel

Mary Beth Geibel, age 60, died Sunday afternoon (9/13/2020) at good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford Pennsylvania. Mary was born on March 4th 1960 in Grove City, PA to William J Todd and Faye C. (Christy) Todd. Mary graduated from Grove City High School in 1978, then Newcastle School of Cosmetology. After working as a beautician for a short time, Mary Beth attended Jamison School of Nursing and became a registered nurse in 1983. She started her nursing career at Franklin Hospital and worked both as a member of the IV team and as a floor nurse. Mary then took a job as a RN at the Old Mercer County Home, so she could have a regular work schedule to spend more time with her family. Always wanting to better herself, Mary became a Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator, and then a Director of Nursing. Pursuing her nursing career, she worked for several facilities and eventually retired in 2013 due to health reasons. Mary was raised in a Christian home, and she attended the Vincent Methodist Church in Jackson Center, most recently attending the Grace United Methodist Church in Grove City. She was a devout Christian and loved her god. Mary and Lawrence Geibel were married November 11th, 1978 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Grove City. Mary and Larry bought the family farm from her parents in 1993 where they raised Black Angus cattle and sold hay. Mary loved spending time at home providing for her family and decorating for the seasons. She loved holidays and family get togethers. No event was too big for her and her sisters Ida and Karen to plan and organize. Mary is survived by her Husband Larry at home. Two sons, Andy and Adam Geibel, four sisters Ida (Jim) Grace, Karen (Mark) Smith, all of Grove City. Shirley (Ed) Robson of Newbern N.C. and Kay (Steve) Strange of Harrisville. Her Granddaughter Adah Faye Geibel who is a great joy to her. Along with many nieces and nephews. Mary Beth’s final wishes are to be cremated and her and her husband’s ashes be put on the family farm so they can spend eternity together. No visitation is planned, but the family will announce a future date when a celebration of Mary’s life will be held on the family farm.
