Mary E. (Boor) Buri

Mary E. Buri, 90, formerly of Blooming Valley and a resident Goodlettsville, TN since 2005 died Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Skyline Medical Center, Nashville, TN.

She was born in Meadville February 23, 1929 a daughter of Joseph and Mary Pich Boor.  She married Michael Edward Buri on July 22, 1950 and he preceded her in death June 8, 2008.

She worked in shipping and receiving at Channellock, Inc. for 33 years.  She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church while living here and Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Hendersonville, TN.

She took extreme pride in her granddaughters Sarah and Anna.  She was a hard worker all her life.  Mary and Mike were well known for their beautiful lawn and gardens which they shared generously with everyone.  And she loved feeding everyone that came to her door.

She is survived by a daughter, Christine B. Allison of Goodlettsville, TN; a son, Mike Buri of Goodlettsville, TN; two granddaughters, Sarah Buri and Anna Buri; a brother-in-law, Raymond Chandler in Montana and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Allison; her twin brother, Frank Boor; six other brothers, Pete Boor, Mike Sivik, Joe Sivik, Johnny Sivik, Paul Sivik, and Alec Sivik; two sisters, Ann Chandler and Helen Stewart and two infant siblings.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 30th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 1st at 11 a.m. at St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville with Fr. Jeffrey Lucas, Celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery.
