Mary F. (Terry) Byers

Mary F. Byers, 62, of Guys Mills died at home surrounded by her family Saturday, August 3, 2019.  She was born May 9, 1957 in Meadville a daughter of James L. and Florence V. Crafferty Miller.  She married Daniel P. Byers October 2, 1976 at First Presbyterian Church in Meadville.

She was a 1975 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School.  At one time, she worked at the Whole Darn Thing, for Hartley Press in Jacksonville, FL and for the past 19 years at the Meadville Tribune.  She was very proud of her family and enjoyed gardening, birding, all word games, going to garage sales and playing bingo.

Survivors, in addition to her husband Dan of 42 years, include: a daughter, Erin Byers (Thomas Clark) of Enterprise, AL; two sons, James (J.T.) Byers and Justin Byers both of Guys Mills; her father, James L. Miller of Meadville; a sister, Ava Terry of Meadville; a brother, Dale Terry (Tracy) of Conneautville and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Florence V. Miller and a sister, Susan MacBlain.

Calling hours will be Thursday, August 8th from 5-7 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.  The memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Glen Van Cise, Pastor of Chapmanville Community Church, officiating.
