Mary Hotchkiss Cooper

September 11, 1897 — July 11, 1940

Mary Hotchkiss Cooper, wife of Edward M. Cooper, died early Thursday morning at the home of her son, Lee Cooper in Guys Mills.  Aged 72, she had spent her entire life in the Guys Mills community.

Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Congregational Church, and of its adult Bible class and missionary society.

Besides her husband, she is survived by the one son; a granddaughter, Mrs. Dorothy Slater of Guys Mills; a great-grandson, Gary Lee Slater of Guys Mills; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Osten of Titusville and a brother, Charles H. Hotchkiss of Union City.

Another brother, Henry Hotchkiss, preceded her in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery.
