Mary E. Burge

Mrs. Mary E. Burge, 72, wife of Elmer E. Burge, died Monday, June 20, 1983, at City Hospital, after a sudden illness.

She was born in East Mead Township February 16, 1911, a daughter of Laverne and Lucy Daniels Braymer.

She married Mr. Burge October 19, 1968.

She was retired from FMC Corp., where she worked in the processing department for over 30 years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church; KJU Sunday school class; American Baptist Women; Deborah Circle; Mead Chapter ,Order of the Eastern Star; and the ladies auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  She was a grange member for 56 years with latest membership at Cambridge Springs.

Survivors include her husband; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Richard (Louise) Sutliff of Meadville; a sister, Mrs. Sam (Grace) Mears of Guys Mills; a brother, Byrl Braymer of Saegertown; several nieces and nephews; three step-granddaughters; and a step-great-granddaughter.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
