Mary E. Gaut

March 9, 1870 — January 1, 1753

Mrs. Mary E. Gaut, widow of Elmer L. Gaut, died Thursday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. M. B. Hodges of Meadville.

Her early life was spent at Littles Corners.  She later moved to the Meadville area.  Mrs. Gaut taught several terms in Crawford County schools.  She was a member of Littles Corners Methodist Church and Keystone Grange.

Surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. Glenn Curtis and Miss Lucille Gaut and a son, Clarence Gaut, all of Meadville; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Hall and Miss Lydia Newhart, both of Springboro; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Denny Cemetery.
