Mary E. Mitchell

Mrs. Mary E. Mitchell, 81, resident of Meadville Hillside Home, died Tuesday, April 26, 1966, at City Hospital following an illness of several months.

A daughter of Henry and Ellen Rhodes, she was born at Knox March 27, 1885.  She was the widow of H. Dean Mitchell whom she married in April 1939.

Mrs. Mitchell was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two step-daughters, Mrs. Josephine Clark of Grove City and Mrs. Pauline Stroemple of Cleveland; a step-son, William Mitchell of Westlake, OH; a foster son, William Weeter of Meadville; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Weaver of Pleasantville, Mrs. Myrtle Baun of Port Alleghany and Mrs. Lettie Bell of Seneca; two brothers, Kenneth and William Rhodes both of Van; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in New Lebanon Cemetery, Mercer County.
