Mary E. Pickard

Mary E. Pickard, 79, of Meadville, formerly of Jamestown, NY, a secretary, died Sunday, February 13, 1994, at Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born in Jamestown, August 1, 1914, a daughter of Richard L. and Ann Birmingham Pickard.

A graduate of Jamestown public schools, she was an office secretary for St. Peter and Paul Church of Jamestown and legal secretary for Judge McKinley Phillips of Chautaqua County, NY/  She was a US Navy World War II veteran, serving in Hawaii and in Washington, DC.  She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Meadville, the Meadville Literary Club and the Philo-Mathesian Club of Meadville.

Survivors include three nephews, Thomas E. Lindquist of Meadville, Jeffrey C. Lindquist of Sandusky, OH and James M. Lindquist of Shaumburg, IL.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Lindquist.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Old Catholic Cemetery, Jamestown.
