Mary Hood Stein

Mrs. Mary Hood Stein, 78, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Blooming Valley, died at Apollo Medical Center, St. Petersburg, following a short illness.

Born in Nobles County, Minnesota, on June 13, 1895, she was a daughter of Oscar M. and Nine A. Wood Ferrin.  She married Leonard A. Hood in 1920.  He was manager of Meadville Co-Op Assn. from 1941 until his death in 1948.  She married Mr. Stein in 1969.  Mrs. Stein was a former retail sales clerk in Florida.  She was a member of Pasadena Community United Methodist Church at St. Petersburg and the United Methodist Women of the church.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Rocky Glen Cemetery, Adamsville.
