Mary Jane Bowers

March 23, 1946 — April 7, 2022

Mary Jane Bowers, 76, of Grove City, passed away on April 7, 2022 at Embassy of Shenango Valley.

Mary Jane was born in Mercer, PA on March 23, 1946 to the late Gerald and Mildred (McCracken) Coryea.  After high school Mary Jane went on to work in the healthcare industry as a CNA and worked for nursing homes and retired from home hospice nursing in 2015.

In her free time Mary Jane enjoyed playing BINGO at the American Legion and the VFW in Grove City.  She also spent time reading, doing crossword puzzles and word searches.  Most of all Mary Jane enjoyed spending time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren.

Mary Jane was of the Presbyterian faith and grew up going to the Leesburg Presbyterian Church.

On February 18, 1963 Mary Jane married her beloved husband, John D. Bowers, and he preceded her in death on December 15, 2005.

Mary Jane is survived by her sons, John William Bowers, of Lewisburg, PA, Kevin Lewis (Cherie) Bowers, of Bangor, MI, and Jason Micheal (Lisa) Bowers, of Grove City; her partner, Gary Gotshall, of Grove City; her sister, Judy Perrine, of Mercer; 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and spouse, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her son, Brian Bowers, an infant daughter and one sister, Annamae Kelly.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro.  Services will be announced at a later date.

Interment will take place at Crestview Memorial Park where Mary Jane will be laid to rest next to her husband.
