Mary Lou Hubbard

Mary Lou Hubbard, 83, of Conneaut Lake, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Marquette Hospice House. She was born January 11, 1933 in Union City, a daughter of Jason Leroy and Maryan Rebecca Siegfried Unger. Following the death of her mother in an automobile accident, she was raised by her father and stepmother, Esther L. Unger. She married James E. Hubbard January 28, 1956 and he preceded her in death March 24, 2012. Mary Lou was a 1950 graduate of Jamestown High School. She worked at the Crawford Store, Freeaufs Pharmacy, Thrifts Drug Store, and Eckards Drug Store in Conneaut Lake from where she retired in 1998. A member of Atlantic Congregation Church, Mary Lou was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Albion, and was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge, Atlantic. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and doing crafts. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Betty Lou Mocarski of Falls Church, VA and Betty Lous children, a daughter Mary Beth House of Vienna, VA and a son, William Mocarski of Falls Church, VA; a cousin, Dorinne McIver and her husband Jack of Amherst, OH and their sons, Scott C. and Matthew A. McIver; two brothers-in-law, Michael Thomas Hubbard and his wife Jane of Yorba Linda, CA and Dennis Patrick Hubbard and his companion Debbie of Washington, UT; and special friends, Russ and Lenore Myers of Cochranton as well as many loved nieces and nephews and many special friends and neighbors. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, William L. Unger, her stepmother, Esther L. Unger and a brother-in-law, Richard Charles Hubbard. Calling hours will be Thursday, January 5th from 4 to 7 p.m. at WAID-COLEMAN FUNERAL HOME, 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE. The funeral and committal service will be Friday, January 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Marshall Lillie, Chaplain of Hospice of Crawford County, officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Conneaut Lake. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, PA 16505.
