Mary Lu Klein, 82, of Conneaut Lake, died Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Rolling Fields, Conneautville following an extended illness.
She was born August 11, 1927 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret Deeds Welsh. She married George J. Klein August 15, 1947.
Mary Lu was a homemaker and member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of Conneaut Lake Volunteer Fire Dept. Station 3 and lifetime member of Conneaut Lake Park Volunteer Fire Dept. Station 5. She dearly loved her family.
Survivors, in addition to her husband George of 62 years, include a daughter, Deborah Golembiewski and her husband Joseph of Conneaut Lake; a son, George A. Klein and his wife Grace of Pittsburgh; 4 grandchildren, Jason Sakal and his fiancée Jessica Surdyk of Meadville, Melissa Golembiewski and Michael Broman of Kent, OH, Lisa Coll and her husband Jason of Pittsburgh, and Ryan Klein and his wife Sonya of Pittsburgh; a great-grandchild, Liam Coll; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Welsh.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake with a Scripture Prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Americas Church, 155 S. Ninth St., Conneaut Lake with Fr. Steve Anderson as Celebrant.
Interment will be in Our Lady Queen of the Americas Cemetery.
