Mary S. Voehl, 85, formerly of Meadville, and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community for the past two years, died there Monday, August 3, 1998 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Meadville, November 30, 1912, a daughter of George and Edna (Locke) Schnauber. She married Karl E. Voehl, May 18, 1935 and he preceded her in death April 28, 1994.
She retired in 1975 as a clerk in the credit department of Talon, Inc. after 32 years of service. She was a member of Stone United Methodist, member and past Worthy Matron of Golden Crown Chapter OES and a member of Vernon Township Recreation Board. She was also a 1930 graduate of Meadville High School.
Survivors, include a sister, Edna Warren of Saegertown; three nieces, Mrs. Thomas (Joyce) Keenan of Saegertown, Mrs. David (Joan) Hogan of Indianapolis, IN and Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Luikart of Saegertown; a nephew, David Warren (JoAnne) of Laurel, MS and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Eunice Kilmer.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
