Mrs. Maryetta A. Hamilton, 54, of Meadville, wife of Clarence R. Hamilton, died Wednesday, March 26, 1969, at Hamot Hospital in Erie following an illness of two months. She had been a surgical patient at the hospital for the past three weeks.
She was born in Meadville on April 14, 1914, a daughter of Silas and Maude Snodgrass Allen. She was married to Clarence R. Hamilton on May 14, 1937.
Mrs. Hamilton was a licensed practical nurse and was employed by Spencer Hospital for about one year. Prior to her employment at Spencer Hospital she was employed by the Crawford County Home for 10 years. She was a member of Saegertown United Methodist Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are five sons, Donald W. at home, John F., Ned and Wallace Lynn, all of Meadville, and Robert G. of North Kingsville, OH; four sisters, Mrs. Charles (Annabelle) Dake of Cleveland, Mrs. Marcious (Pauline) Dibble of Black Ash, Mrs. Robert (Leora) Cunningham of Cambridge Springs and Mrs. Hector (Ruth) Urquhart of Cochranton.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
