Maryln S. (Shellenberger) Miller

Maryln S. Miller, 73, of Meadville and a resident of the Crawford County Care Center, died there, Friday, June 24, 2016

She was born in Meadville April 6, 1943 a daughter of William L. and Margaret I. McElhatten Shellenberger.  She married Darwin L. Miller November 14, 1964 and he preceded her in death December 12, 2009.

She was a 1962 graduate of Cochranton High School.  She worked for Avtex Inc. for 20 years and then as an inspector for Greenleaf for 25 years, retiring in 2010.  She was a member of Living Waters Church and was active in the Pro-Life movement.  She was a former 4-H leader of the Muzzle Nuzzlers and she and her husband enjoyed attending many horse shows.

She is survived by a daughter, Tina (Allen) Garver of Edinboro; five grandchildren, Kayla, Aaron, Anna, Jillian and Gabriel Newhard; a great grandson, Bobby Harris; two sisters, her twin Roselyn Hamilton of Flower Mound, TX and Clara (Don) Mitchum of Hadley; a brother, Joseph (Ruby) Shellenberger of Cochranton; two half sisters, Margaret First in North Carolina and Rosemary Mattern of Greenville; a sister-in-law, Alma (John) Foulk of Meadville; a brother-in-law, David P. (Jan) Miller of Meadville; a former son-in-law, John Newhard of Saegertown and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hannah (Richard) Bovard; a half-brother, Ed King; a half-sister, Ellen Randall and a brother-in-law, Keith Hamilton.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 12 – 2 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, Inc., 581 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ray Martinez of Living Waters Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
