Maude M. Smock

January 22, 1881 — November 7, 1975

Mrs. Maude M. Smock, 94, who had resided at the Methodist Home for the Aged since 1964, died at the United Methodist Nursing Hospital Friday, November 7, 1975, after a long illness.

Born in Hayfield Township on January 22, 1881, she was a daughter of Augustus and Eva E. Watson Hank.  She married Mr. Smock on November 2, 1904, in Meadville.  In 1918, they moved to Albion where they lived until 1963, returning to Meadville and then moving to the home in 1964.  Mrs. Smock was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Albion, and formerly was active in the Women's Relief Corps of Albion.

Survivors include her husband who also lives at the Methodist Home for the Aged; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Marian) Jenkins of Warren; a sister, Miss Edith Hank of Meadville; a granddaughter, Miss Arlene Moore of Youngstown and several nieces and nephews.

A grandson preceded in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
