Maude Miller Hill

September 29, 1894 — January 1, 1753

Either a heart attack or a stroke probably resulted in the death of Mrs. Arthur W. Hill, 52, of Meadville, before she toppled into the water of Sugar Lake from the boat in which she was rowing alone Saturday evening.

Born September 29, 1894, in East Wayne Township School, Cooperstown High School and Slippery Rock State Teachers College.  She later taught at the East Wayne, McDaniels and Oak schools.

She was a member of the Grace Methodist Church and of the Philathea Bible Class and the Women's Society of Christian Service there.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. Arthur W. Hill; two daughters, Mrs. J. M. Harris of Cortland, OH and Mrs. F. W. Smith of Detroit; two grandsons, Albert and Richard Harris; her mother, Mrs. William H. Miller of Kent, OH; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Ester of Willoughby, OH and Mrs. Clayton Depew of Kent, OH; and two brothers, Ralph and Albert Miller, both of Alliance, OH.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
