Maude Smith

Mrs. Maude Smith, 80, wife of Irwin J. Smith, of Meadville, died Saturday, March 10, 1962, at her home after a long illness.

She was born in Wayne Township, July 12, 1881, a daughter of William and Mary Jane Drake Pattison.  She married Mr. Smith December 23, 1902.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and of Mt. Hope Grange.  The couple spent most of their married life in the Mt. Hope area.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles M. (Autumn) Smith of Mt. Hope; a sister, Mrs. S. A. (Alice) Heath of Franklin; a brother, Fred Pattison of Cochranton; three grandchildren, Earl W. Smith of Ft. Bragg, NC, Mrs. Mary Ann Karns of Meadville and Miss Esther Smith of Mt. Hope.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
