Maureen A. Gehringer

Maureen A. Gehringer, 69 of Jamestown, PA died at home Saturday, April 7, 2012

She was born in Pittsburgh March 8, 1943 a daughter of Edward Patrick and Virginia Agnes O’Leary Horgan.  She married James F. Gehringer December 30, 1977 and he preceded her in death January 2, 2011.

She graduated from Divine Providence Academy in Pittsburgh and the former Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked for a while as an Operating Room Technician at the former Pittsburgh Hospital.  In Conneaut Lake she was the bar manager at Silver Shores Restaurant for over 10 years and then she worked at Paramount Die Corp. in Edinboro.

She was a member of Conneaut Lake V.F.D. Station 3 and Conneaut Lake Park V.F.D. Station 5.  She was an avid Steeler fan, enjoyed knitting and reading and enjoyed motorcycle riding and traveling to Key West with her husband.

Survivors, include a brother, Terrance Horgan of Pittsburgh; two nieces, Deborah Krause of West Mifflin and Vonita Baldt of Monroeville; a sister-in-law, Rhoda Baldt and her husband Roy of Pittsburgh and seven great nieces and great nephews, Danny Krause, Nicholas Krause, Elizabeth Krause, Anthony Krause, Maddy Krause, Courtney Kalina and Justin Kalina.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.

The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Brumagin, officiating.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.

The family suggests memorials be made to the ALS Association, Western PA Chapter, 416 Lincoln Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15209.
